The video has to be seen to be believed. I can't decide whether or not it's porn.

Happy Birthday, noway! Hope you have a wonderful day.
This recipe does make me crave a hot dog, especially this one. I'm wondering however if this is the authentic recipe. Classics always seem to have variations & then people argue over whaheyhe real recipe is.

So many possible comments to make about the infomercial.
Isn't the giant hot dog the same as buying a log ( or whatever it's called) of baloney? Who wants a sliced hot dog?

That guy in the infomercial really gives me the creeps. He looks like a pimp, swear to gawd.

Or...pour salt on a saltine. Gosh, I miss salt.
Happy Birthday, Noway!

Looking good for a 5 year old dog named Sadie. Second visit with OLD today

Happy Birthday, cowboy.

Just, love the name Sadie! I hope it works out. It's amazing how pets can provide such love and companionship.

Mattis: OLD is so excited. The key is whether Sadie is afraid of the wheelchair when we go see her today. She is in a "kill" shelter so we have to move.

Thanks for the birthday greetings. Original Chicago Dog recipe looks spot on. That bright green relish is something I always can take a pass on. Right on about no ketchup. Not even sure what it is for.
Big Dog great idea. Will have to find... Or grill liver sausage. Brat country up here but tonight slow cooked ribs and fresh corn. A good day to be on the lake in the woods.
Adios for now.

Man, I'd love some slow-cooked ribs and fresh corn tonight.
Send a photo.

Noway is having a fine day so far. I just saw him drive off in the pontoon boat. Was that a cigar in his hand? Just doin' as he pleases today, with everyone else cookin' and fetchin' stuff for him!
Noway's official party will be at a late dinner tonight. Late dinner because the ski boat doesn't usually leave the lake until after the sun drops below the tree line and that doesn't happen until around 7:30PM or so.
I've baked two fresh apple pies, noway's preference over cake. Bright sun shining on the lake and a full moon tonight, great birthday conditions!

Happy birthday to the poet who don't knowit.
The Chicago dog sounds great. The big dog is stupid.

I guess in this case babysis, not even the advertising has you wanting to try it.
Posted by: Matissta | July 03, 2012 at 03:49 PM
Happy Birthday, noway!! Enjoy every minute.
I must admit, I'm a hot dog and ketchup girl. Grilled hot dog, not boiled, and a toasted bun. Mmmm...
Posted by: treesta | July 03, 2012 at 03:56 PM
Now I want some apple pie, too. And a cigar.
Matissta -- if there was even a scintilla of a chance that I would buy a big dog, the advertising took it away. Incredibly stupid, too.
treesta -- maybe when you get back, Matissta and I can grill some turkey dawns and toast some buns.

Happy Birthday, noway - I feel like I know you even though we've never met. Your posts are truly beautiful.
Just got back to sassistaland after a day of replenishing the supplies so in response to Flann's ?: We did not raise our rates; we actually discounted both the weekend refugees and the folks who stayed extra days, anywhere from 10% to 50% for the extra days, and the couple who took one room Saturday are friends who just bought us dinner. The Bavarian was offering an even lower rate for local folks - $75. We didn't take pets or children, though, and we had lots of those kinds of calls. I felt bad about that but we were already 2/3 full with guests expecting the normal experience.
I was unprepared, I think, and that makes the compulsive planner side of me unhappy, or maybe a better term would be stressed out. We had some repeat guests we like this weekend, and everybody was pretty cool about the added congestion of StreetFest and the power outages.
Did you hear about Brian's apartment going up in flames last week? It was pretty crazy but he's fine and has got another place to bunk right now.
I'm afraid I forgot to mention since it happened right before the power craziness.

Actually, as I hang my head in shame, I was the one who asked if you raised your prices Bnb. We know where to go the next time this happens, but as we mentioned we were concerned for our pets.
So glad to hear Brian is ok! Please let him know that we're thinking about him and glad he wasn't injured.

Sadie came right up to OLD's wheelchair and licked his hand. He fell in love. I had to take her back to the pound, though, because we won't be at home tonight so we pick her up on Thursday. Don't worry we paid the money, she'll still be there. So this is good. OLD is happy.
Posted by: Justista | July 03, 2012 at 05:03 PM
Sweet, Just. Sweet. Good for Sadie. Good for OLD. Good for you.
Posted by: treesta | July 03, 2012 at 05:11 PM
First of all, no wonder we love you so much, Bnb. What a generous soul you are! And yes, please give hugs and kisses to Brian.
YAY SADIE! So happy for OLD!
