No one calls me on my b.s. or makes me laugh better than Matissta. She's had a challenging year professionally. PLUS she's attending school. Thanks Flann for your lovely post and comments. I won't deny that my birthday backyard is challenging. Not what I quite expected.
Usually I'm away on vacation this week, which also feels odd not be traveling.
Still, I'm thankful for all that I have. Plus I'm looking forward to dinner with my favorite girl.

You know you could do WWI reenactments in your backyard. Charge admission and make a little extra money.

PS: Matiss -- I remember when Flann put this design on top of your birthday brownies during your visit to Cheyenne. I hope that no one ends up in the emergency room during your celebration this year! THAT was surely a one of a kind birthday ... parade and all!
The celebration begins HERE today, also. It is the first day of the 10-day fiesta know as Cheyenne Frontier Days. I'll be sure to enjoy the bull riding for you, Matiss ... your favorite event to photograph!

Matissta and I had a lovely day. We saw "Beasts of the Southern Wild" at AFI, then headed off to Jackie's for a FABulous birthday meal. All very sweet.
