Flannista

Seriously -- there's a professional football team called the "Seahawks"?

treesta

Of course the Redskins are better. I can't believe you even have to ask that question, Flann!!

treesta

The word on my codey thingy was 'gentle'. Guess I better take it easy - at least until game time!

Emily

Flann, Seahawks would be an excellent name for a Librarian's reading group. Which I aspire to. But about the East West thing. The Washington Monument is better.

Matissta

"Capitol Hill or Puget Sound?"

Would anyone chose Capitol Hill over the Puget Sound? We need to find something better to offer than the Hill. How about the Georgetown waterfront or the Potomic River?

Does Seattle have any museum that can compare with The Smithsoniam museums? Or any place to eat like Ben's Chili Bowl?

treesta

Well, good morning, Matiss. Are you ready for a good game? The 'Skins are ready to pluck some Seahawk feathers!

Sista C

With all due respect to my Redskin sistas, Seattle's got this thang! I'm taking all bets.....or are you guys all bluster and ersatz sass?

Flannista

Yeah, right, Sista C. I ain't goin' for them Sno-Caps again.

I dare ya to raise the bar. Seriously, what's the bet, 'cause the Skins got this one, baby.

Flannista

Emily -- thanks for joining this smack sass stream.

You will indeed hear a lot of yelling today -- and a lot of crying from Matiss.

nowayasista

Due respect? For a bunch of east coast elitist snobs? Noway says no way. You can't trash talk the west and get away with it in this venue.
The Smithsonian... bah. Ever had a cold one looking over the Sound? Ever had a real cup of coffee? And don't diss a seahawk aka osprey. Fast, powerful, majestic. I was going cheer for RGIII and the Redskins, but this pushes me over to the other side. Go Seahawks....

Flannista

Washington has the National Art Gallery. What does Seattle have? An old garage for grunge bands?

Sista C

You so sure that you'd bet some micro-brewery beer, Flann?

Flannista

The word in the Code Thingy for my last comment was "Definite" as in the Skins beating the Seahawks is a definite.

Flannista

noway -- our comments passed in the smack sass.

The Museum of Flight trumps the National Air and Space Museum?

Surely you can do better than that.

Flannista

You're on, Sista C. Micro-brewery beer it is -- and the really GOOD STUFF, you know with a really weird name like Profanity Hill Pale Ale.

Sista C

You got it smartypants Flann.

treesta

What does Seattle have to beat this - the infamous Exorcist steps for horror film fans:

Flannista

treesta -- Seattle has the horror of losing today's Wildcard game.

Matissta

If it's unclear, I'm rooting for the Seahawks. I just think DC has better museums & the Library of Congress! (There's no place that can top the LoC. Seriously people, don't even try.)

Just, what are the odds in Vegas?

Flannista

You're on, Sista C.

And make that "Redskinspants", please.

Flannista

The word in my Code Thingy was "solidity" as in the quality of the Redskins compared to the Seahawks.

Flannista

It's clear that you are rooting for the Seahawks, my poor and uninformed Matiss. You're right about the LoC or as we intelligent folks say, the Library of Congress. Hey -- if you can't spell it out, don't write it or say it.

Here's something you need to learn to spell:

L-O-S-E-R

nowayasista

Matiss, how can we root for the same team? Nothing to bet on. Never been to Ben's Chili Bowl... have however been to the 5 Point Cafe.. not to be missed. Or dissed.

Flannista

The tagline for The 5 Point Cafe is this, noway:

"Alcoholics serving alcoholics since 1929."

The breakfast menu offers "5 Point Curry Tofu Scramble".

Guess only an alcoholic could appreciate that.

Sista C

Oh, I'll get you your obscure brew if you win, Flannista. Something to compare to the infamous box of SnoCaps. I've heard that the Trappist Monks of Louisiana make a delightful beverage from aged crick water and night-toad sweat.

You n treesta seem to be outnumbered today, chickadee. Rookies.
