In December, Flannista published a post called "Got Your Back" about how gummy bears inspired Flann's First Graders to tell their stories because, "Gummy Bear got your back!" Click here to read that original post.
About a month ago, Pachasista sent Flannista the large red gummy bear pictured above against the white board (as well as to the right). I brought it to storytelling telling class a couple of weeks ago and asked the First Graders if they knew GB's (the name they gave to the gummy bear) story. They didn't, so I asked them what they wanted to know about GB. Their questions are listed on the white board above. I then asked them to think about the answers to the questions and write GB's story.
Here are three of the stories -- posted in honor of Pachasista's birthday which is sometime around now. Forgive me for forgetting the exact date!
FYI, the morning we wrote GB's story, I read aloud Peter Reynold's kid book, Ish.
